Inspiration Outside My Window

I was getting a little cranky and tired, with the move, the other night.....then I looked out my window.....

Still Moving/Still Distracted

Making a mess at the new place....

Cleaning at the old place...grumble grumble.

But still distracted!!!

Isn't this plate, just a quilt waiting to happen?

Happy Accident....Or the Distracted Mover

I thought I would buy a new duvet, for the new apartment, because we will have a regular bed rather than a Murphy bed, so it will be seen from many angles and this one struck my fancy. My new duvet wrinkled like crazy in the wash (grumble grumble) but you should see how many of our things work with this fabric. 

So being the color junkie that I am, I'm running around the apartment taking pictures, smiling about my happy accident, instead of packing.....we move on Thursday...it's a bit strange because we are moving, right across the street.

Are you seeing a bit of a color theme here??

Well, back to packing......

and some more packing. My new sewing space is going to be bigger!!!!!!!

Hmm, maybe I'll just take a break and read a novel or something. I'll keep you posted

You guessed it.....to Montreal with Jess and Jeff. It will be so hard to see them go tomorrow, at least a little of my love is going with them.

Some Unexpected Goodies....on Salt Spring Island

We took  the ferry over to Salt Spring Island today.

Guess what I'm holding in my hot little hand??? Can you tell by the grin on my face???

I managed to sneak off, on my own, for an hour (it doesn't take me long) and this is what I found........More Marcia Derse Fabric...Woo hoo!!!!

At last Jess and Jeff are here...we haven't seen them since last March.

I did manage a quick trip to the quilt shop and managed to pick up a copy of Block Party. What a lovely day.

Plus I'm surrounded by three fantastic cooks....something smells wonderful as I'm sitting here typing. I know, I know....I'm spoiled rotten.

Back on the West Coast

Back on the beautiful west cost.....and off to the airport to pick up Jessica and Jeff, flying in from Montreal. My beautiful, daughter actually shows my blog to her friends....wow, who knew. 

So looking forward to spending time together.

Stacks of starts to finish..but I got nothing. What's up with that?

But I do have, a beautifully organized set of book cases.

 I'm sure my motivation will be back soon...I hope. I must have that new West Coast Studio on my mind...I'll keep you posted on that.

Fairly productive, I would say.....I might not fair so well for the month of August. I'll be visiting with my kid's from Montreal and throwing in a move on the west coast. The plus side is, I will end up with a larger West Coast Studio than I had before....yay!!!!
