Adding an unexpected something is not without some risk. It can be the missing element that gives your work life, or the distinct......what was I thinking?? What causes us to throw something unexpected, into the middle of a perfectly good quilt, anyway ?

Sometimes something, as simple, as taking a walk can effect what I'm working on. After my walk I went straight to work and added the unexpected green to my quilt. I quickly took some shots and put them on the computer. I had completely forgotten about these pictures I had taken, while walking.
As I look at them, I can see the influencing effect my walk is having on me. I'm still trying to decide if this is a good thing or not. I still might wake up tomorrow and say "WHAT WAS I THINKING?".

I love the fact that your subconscious went to work for you. I'm always surprised when that happens. Love work, as always!

ReplyDeletebest, nadia
I was just telling my husband this morning that lime green goes with anything. This was in response to his comment about my wearing a pink and brown plaid scarf with a lime green top. I love it when I am surprised with the unexpected. Beautiful.
