That was actually quite effortless!
And there you have it. I love trying new techniques...and this one is a keeper. The light weight of the shot cottons is especially nice for this particular method. |

This looks SO cool! Are you planning a whole quilt?
ReplyDeleteWow, there’s so much movement in this circle!
ReplyDeleteWow you have me mesmerised too - I'm trying to work out exactly how you're doing this
ReplyDeletethat's amazing! I'm with Lynne - how does this work?
ReplyDeleteA...mazing !!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, I might have to get the book.
ReplyDeleteOoooooh!!! That looks like fun. A very dramatic look. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning sundial you ended up with!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely circle. I think I see what you are doing but not exactly, time to get the book.
ReplyDeleteGreat results!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Do you press the sliver fabric to one side after you seew it in the crease? Or is it pressed open with a 3-D look? Hard to tell from the photo. This technique reminds me of an old book I have by Cheryl Phillps, where she uses the same sew in the crease method and then opens out the fabric so it's 3-D. She uses larger fabric pieces rather than slivers though.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you liked the book. It's written by a friend and I am anxious to my hands on a copy.
