Sometimes I Irritate myself!

The west coast studio looked perfectly fine, until I started rearranging it again...for the third time, this year.
I moved all the furniture around and hope I'm happy with this arrangement. Everything got moved closer to the windows again....the view is really lovely.
I hung up a curtain rod, with rings and clips, so that I could diplay quilts.  The plan is to make a hanging design wall, that can be hung, on the same rod.

Since this room doubles as a guest room, it will be nice to be able to take the design wall down at will. I'll have to test that theory out.

The question is..... how many times can one arrange one little room????

  2. An artist needs to have her environment in perfect creative order! Ha! Love the use of a curtain rod for display. I think I may take the tacks out of the wall holding up the batting I use as a design wall!!

  3. I've got blue duct tape holding mine up - really no class it's pitiful. Your space is yours to fiddle with, enjoy the freedom to do so!

  4. I guess it takes as many times as it takes until it feels right. Nice idea for the moveable design wall.

  5. I'd love to see more! Your colors, the windows, your beautiful quilt (nice set up for hanging it over your work space)... it's all beautiful, and I loved it before. I'd really be interested to see how you work your sewing around your guest bedroom... I'm fresh out of ideas, and you have so many it's irritating you! :D

    1. I think you need to sew or go to the fabric or yarn store and shop.

  6. I am "decorating impaired" and I really don't rearrange after the first go, but if I was a guest in this room, I'd want you to keep your design wall in place so that I could feel like I was a little bit a part of the process.

  7. As many times as you want. Your blocks on your design wall are always gorgeous I don't think I would take them down if you have guests. They add energy to the room and incentive for the guests to give input into your design inspiration. My sewing room and laundry room open to attach to one another with the design wall right next to the entrance to the laundry room. My husband frequently suggests things, sometimes good sometimes ignored, as he goes by. He has even noticed mistakes or poorly arranged blocks where I had missed them all together.

  8. You can rearrange forever and forever. What works today won't necessarily work tomorrow. I'm in love with that quilt. You are such an inspiration. I'm making my first QAYG and loving that too. Thank you for your tutorials. I've already forwarded them to two more people.
