Carried Away....as usual

I had so much fun making this design wall, the other day.....I decided to make another one. I know, I have a tendency to get a little carried away with these things, but one can never have enough design walls.

A number of you commented that you just don't have the space for a design wall...what about utilizing the space behind the door?

Sometimes, I just throw fabric on the design wall to get my creative juices flowing....sort of creating a colour story if you will.
Here is something a little brighter.
It's a great way to use your design wall.

  1. After we move there will be no more excuses for me to not have a design wall! I am going to shamelessly use your ideas. PS Did you colour those rainbows yourself? So bright!

  2. I was thinking that horizontally hanging them would work better in my space so it's nice to see them installed that way. Getting carried away is a good trait

    1. Boy, JUST found your blog and this post, and this is EXACTLY what I am setting out to do, today! I have a bulletin board set up behind my door, but it's just not big enough. So, off to Lowe's and Joann Fabrics to get my supplies. Just brilliant, love this idea, great, great use of wasted space, especially for those of us with smaller studios. Brilliant.

    1. They are lovely...but no I haven't done any dyeing...that would just be another addiction waiting to happen.

  6. I have been trying to think of an empty behind the door space in my house, none I can think of, they have been used up. I might need to make on on wheels instead.

  7. I love your process of trying things out and experimenting. Couldn't live without my design wall. I have a wall 72 x 96 and could use twice that and it would still be full. haha
