What Does One Do????

Yes, what does one do, when one's sewing space....oh, what the heck, one's whole house is over taken, by out of town children, in town children visiting with the out of town children, a very pregnant daughter (due on Labour Day), grandchildren......oh yes, and the dog???

My solution is to set up a temporary sewing space in the seldom used dining room.......I neeeeed a little sewing time to calm me.

My daughter was a week over due with the last baby......yikes!!!!!!!

With all the chaos....I managed to register for Quilt Con.

The classes were filling up so fast, I was a little rattled.

quilt con modern quilt show and conference

But yes, Leanne and I are off to Quilt Con in February...yippee!!! This is a first for me, I've not taken any quilting classes, before this.

Always good to do something different....and the best part should be, meeting some of you.

  1. Glad you found a bit of sewing time in a family-filled week! It's exciting that you and Leanne will be going to QuiltCon. I'm trying to figure out all the Canadians who will be there, I can't wait to meet other Canadian quilters! About a dozen of us from the Vancouver MQG will be going to Austin!

  4. Labor day's an appropriate time to go into labor - best of luck to her, I was over due with both of mine and it's not fun. Wish I was going to Quilt Con. Maybe next time you'll be teaching a class and I'll get to take it - :)

  8. Forget about the kids and Quiltcon, I noticed the Brother sewing machine, WTF?? I know you have a Bernina and a Pfaff, when did you get the Brother and which model??? Please provide us with a sewing machine inventory, I'm dying to know!! :D

Yes, I'm a sewing machine junkie, besides my Bernina 550 QE and Juki F600, I also have a few vintage machines on the shelf as well as a Janome 350E embroidery only machine :D
