It's Official...I'm in Panic Mode

Within a week of listing the house, there is a deal pending.....so yes, my state of panic is now official. Meanwhile the house is still being shown just in case the deal goes south. And of course, the potential buyers want possession by October 21 (two days after my workshop)....and yes, there is still some prep to be done in that department.

Insomnia has also set in...it sort of goes hand in hand with panic (it's after 2:30 am). So instead of tossing and turning, I thought I would catch up with you.

See how useful fat quarters can be for packing dishes!!
Balls of yarn work equally as well.

As you can see from the blue counter-tops, there will be some kitchen renovations in the near future, which just might cause more panic to ensue.

But will you look at the lovely views I will have from the condo!!

All in all it's been a very busy week, so far. But the highlight of my day came, when my three and a half year old granddaughter, Paige, told me, I was her special Grandma.....just what I needed to hear, puts it all in perspective.

  1. Boy, oh boy - I wished you a quick sale but not quite so quick and with such a close closing date. Sorry!
I hope all goes well and things stay on track. At least you seem to be able to start moving from one home to the other and don't have to do 'everything' in one fell swoop.
Take heart in the fact that things are moving forward positively, and all being well you'll get back to your 'playtime' soon.

  4. Why is it that being told you are their "special mommy" is indeed very dear, but being told you are a "special grandma" is even more precious? Because it its! That gift of being special and so creative will get you through - along with Gene's reminder to breathe!
    All the best,
    Marcia

  7. What a beautiful view! You'll love it, and it will be well worth the trouble in the long run. One good thing about insomnia: after enough nights with no sleep, one night you sleep really well! Hang in there.

  11. This too will pass.
I remember our daughter telling her boys to leave me a little bit of peace...and my reaction was NOOOO...they won't want to be coming to me every day when they are 15. Well guess what? Twins are now 15 and little one is 12 and they still tell me how much they love me every single day. Even if they are hanging off the fridge door when they say it...

Breathe. Think of the end goal. Breathe again.
    You can do this!

  14. Good luck with the move! It always works out. Never as elegantly as I've wished in my experience, but it works out. Can't wait till you're settled and sewing again!

  15. Being told that you are special by a precious granddaughter makes life worth living. And makes moving, well, more tolerable.

  16. Our granddaughter is going to be 4 in the middle of next month. She is joy personified. I know how wonderful that made you feel. Oh, and btw, I love the name Paige & my daughter's name was a toss-up between that & Brooke. Good luck with the move. At least it will be over quicker this way!
