Picking up the Pieces....finally finished

I finally finished Picking up the Pieces last week and we went for a photo shoot, along the ocean. Since I'm back to Alberta tomorrow, I wanted to take the opportunity....alas, no ocean in Alberta.

I have yet to put together any QAYG tutorials regarding this quilt, as there were several QAYG experiments involved in putting it together. There was a rather wild moment involving a rotary cutter and an already quilted work in progress, resulting in several already quilted pieces (in very odd shapes). And what does one do with that??? Way to complex to go into today.......but someday!!

Quilt Back.....yup, pretty much reversible, don't you think!!

All part of that crazy QAYG experimenting.

Reminder: Give Away on yesterday's post.

  5. Terrific designs, but how did you manage to quilt so that the reverse side also works? Did you line up the designs? I think the idea is great and have wanted to do it, but could never figure out how. Suggestions welcomed!

    1. Well....a lot of playing around and experimenting since the piece was quilted before I cut it up. Some day I might do a series of tutorials but I'm still fine tuning and figuring things out.

  12. Wow! I just found your blog courtesy of Rita's blog roll over on Red Pepper Quilts, and I'm just thrilled that not only are you my kind of quilter but you're a BC person! I was born in North Van and now live in the Interior. I am blown away by your improv chops. Very well done.
